The brigade will be doing a ‘Cake & Coffee: School Bus Stop Visit at The Letter A’ on Friday, 4 Sept., 7 a.m.- 9 a.m. and 3 - 5 p.m. Parents, caregivers and passersby are invited to stop by and say hello to our members.
Local children are invited to enter the brigade’s ‘Get Ready Weekend’ image contest – all they have to do is create a drawing or take a photo showing how their family is preparing for the fire season. Entries should be emailed to BuckettyRFB@gmail.com by 10 Sept. All entries will be displayed at the station with the winner announced at 1 p.m. on 13 Sept. There will be a prize for the best entry displaying fire safety preparation.
Brigade members will be doing a ‘Meet and Greet’ community drive around the district on Saturday 12 Sept. We’ll be available to drop in (where invited) to have a chat about properties and answer any questions about fire safety and preparation for the season. Please flag down one of the trucks if you see it in your neighbourhood.
As part of the RFS state-wide ‘Get Ready Weekend’ activities, Bucketty has arranged a free scrap-metal collection day on Sunday 13 Sep.
