First Aid Scenario Day

Bucketty #1 and crew attended a most excellent day last Saturday when Laguna organised and hosted a First Aid training scenario day. Wonderful Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics from Gosford and Wyong area came out to run 5 different scenarios which really tested our field skills at 'real-life' practical first-aid.

A really great day of learning and much thanks to Laguna Brigade for their wonderful hospitality and catering and to the medicos for their generosity of time and spirit in coming out here and sharing their skills and wisdom with us.

Early morning call

Bucketty #1 and crew were up with the kookaburras this morning to a tree down over GDD. The route [and indeed 'root' :)] was cleared swiftly and an extended patrol afterward found no more wayward obstructions.

Thanks to SnrDC Finnie, Pete, Cookie and Stan for leaving their beds at that early hour and getting the road clear; to Lynne for the call-outs and to Tony from Wollombi/SMSS for his work and support.
